Let’s get away! - Camping part 1
I love traveling! In any way or form, airplanes, road trips, cross country excursions and international adventures. Everything from staying in a luxury hotel( ok this has only happened like twice) to camping in the great outdoors(this is one is my go to). Just getting away from the everyday is such a refreshing feeling. To breathe new air and see new sights.
I really want to set more travel goals for myself weather it’s just going on a few more weekend trips this year or finally saving up for our dream vacation. I want to make it happen!
So I decided to start with some dream travel items. This will be over a few posts to include all the various forms of travel. Staring with my go to camping!
What do you need for a camping trip, we’ll lets start with the basics.
Let’s start with some tents options. These are all great beginner tents that are from a variety of outdoor store but each offers a few different touches, yet for the most part are similar in design.
Tents: Red Ranger - Grey Goose - Basic Blue
I personally would be happy with any of these tents. They are all a simply to setup design and yet roomy enough for my little family of 2 plus our cuddly pup(there will be a post coming soon for camping with dogs). I’m sure one day we’ll need a bigger set up but I find it’s best to start small in camping. Less is more concept. We actually own the Basic Blue and it is perfect for us! I love everything about it.
On to the sleeping bags, honestly pretty much any sleeping bag will do. But I would keep in mind when you are going and the weather as that will play the biggest influence on what type of sleeping bag to get. Cold weather you want to warmest available, but hot summers require breathable fabric!

I personally love all these sleeping bags due to different reasons. The down in Blue Magoo is perfect for a cold night. But the versatility in Red Rider is great if your camping with your sweetie, as you can zip 2 of the bags together creating a giant sleeping bag. The Mena green option id great if you have already investing in an REI membership ( which I can go into more later if ya'll haven't heard of that).
This is a pretty good start to your shopping trip pre-camping. I'll go into chairs and what to pack next tie and then finally we'll have a cooking post with recipe ideas.
Talk to ya'll Later!
