Removing Wallpaper

I have been helping a friend of mine paint her new house. Well the previous owners had wallpaper borders in some of the rooms. So we have been removing it. So far this is the easiest way we have found ( and by easy I mean the not as complicated as the other ways).

So what we did was mix fabric softener with water. Spray it on the wallpaper. Then pull off the top layer as best you can. After that is done spray some more of the mixture on the second layer. After this has had time to soak. About 2-3 minutes. Then scrap off with a putty knife.
